Circular Economy

Important Terms

A circular economy is a system of production and consumption that seeks to reduce waste by reusing or recycling materials as much as possible. It is based on the principle of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’, where resources are used over and over again, rather than being thrown away. Recycling plays an important role in the circular economy, as it enables items to be reused or repurposed instead of ending up in landfill. As a result, using recycled materials helps to conserve energy and natural resources, while also reducing emissions and pollution. Ultimately, a circular economy enhances sustainability and minimizes waste, helping to create a more eco-friendly environment. The Reverse Vending machine (RVM) helps with this.

Clean Loop Recycling is a process whereby materials are recycled in a closed loop system. This means that the same material is used over and over without the need for introducing new materials. This reduces waste, energy consumption, and pollution. The process involves collecting the materials, preparing them for reuse, and then reusing them in the production of new products. This type of recycling not only conserves resources but also helps to reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfills. Clean loop recycling is an important part of the sustainability movement and is becoming increasingly popular as a way to reduce our environmental impact. The Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) helps with this process.

Natural resources are materials that originate from the Earth and are used to produce energy, goods, and services. Examples of natural resources include air, water, soil, minerals, plants, animals, and energy sources such as sunlight, wind, and geothermal heat. Energy resources are the most important of natural resources and include coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear energy. Recycling and reuse of these resources can help reduce the amount of energy required to produce goods and services.

Recycle-Lynne's Story

Lynne Final Backgrnd.jpg

How Recycle-Lynne Became a Superhero

It all started when a big Tornado destroyed the town that Lynne grew up in. The neighborhoods were torn apart and there was litter everywhere. It made Lynne so sad that she had to do something about it. With no help in sight, she started gathering all of  the materials that she could and started making them into things that all of her neighbors and family could use since everything had been lost. Not only was that helping clean up the neighborhood but it was repurposing materials that everyone thought they could never use again. This helped to turn the town around. Lynne vowed from that day on that she would always recycle and reuse any materials that she could and she would get as many people as she could to help. She promised to fight for the planet for the rest of her life.
